Financial Information
- Evidence of financial resources sufficient to provide tuition and fees for the academic year听(minimum of $28,500 USD) and an听affidavit of support
- Scholarship By Department: If a student has received scholarship through their department, please submit a copy of the scholarship document stating the amount provided for the academic year
- Scholarship By Country of Origin: If a student has received scholarship through their country of origin, please submit a copy of the scholarship document stating the amount provided for the academic year

Advising Center
The听TSU Advisement Center is located in the Student Success Center (formerly LRC), Suite 116. The Advisement Center Staff is dedicated to assisting students define and attain their educational goals through academic advisement, encouragement, and referral to needed campus resources. We are available to serve you through scheduled and walk-in appointments 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.听 You can reach us at 615-963-5531 or advisement@tnstate.edu
SERVICES
The TSU Advisement Center serves all students with a focus on the following groups of students:
- Students who have completed less than 60 credit hours
- Students who have not yet chosen a major
- Students who have learning support with their college-level classes
- Students that have been referred via TigerAlert
TRANSFER STUDENTS
Wondering if your courses will transfer to TSU?听 You can access our to determine if courses will be equated to a course at TSU.

The advisors are available to meet with students on a walk-in basis and through scheduled appointments during each semester.听 During peak registration/advisement periods, students are seen on a walk-in basis.听 Come in and allow us to assist you in meeting your educational goals.

New International Student Orientation
Make a smooth transition to life at 麻豆传媒. Immerse yourself in TSU鈥檚 campus culture, academic programs, and social scene by taking advantage of New Student Orientation programs. Learn about the excitement and challenges you鈥檒l encounter during your first year, including academic expectations and student life.
Before the start of the fall or spring semester, you and your parents and family members can participate in New Student Orientation sessions about financial aid, registration, advisement, and campus safety and security. You鈥檒l also make new friends, begin to form relationships with TSU鈥檚 faculty and staff, and take a campus tour.
Once you鈥檙e admitted to TSU, freshmen can register to attend one of our New Student Orientation programs and transfer students can obtain academic advisement and register for classes.

Also, remember to review the Destination TSU Checklist or make hotel and travel arrangements if you鈥檙e coming from out of town. When you attend, be sure to bring your registration confirmation and a notebook and pen. Wear comfortable clothing and good walking shoes.

Pre鈥揂rrival Guide for New International Students
Make sure the following steps are complete before you arrive to TSU
- Submit Official Transcripts from previous school
- Complete the Immunization Form
- Provide Financial Guarantee
- File Review & Decision
- Submit Passport copies, Before I-20
- Shipment of I-20
- Submit Passport copies, After I-20
- Accept your offer of admission
