The University of Illinois Springfield is offering undergraduates the
opportunity to learn research techniques in restoration ecology along
with Ph.D. scientists at the Therkildsen Field Station at Emiquon.  The
Emiquon Preserve, a project of  The Nature Conservancy, is one of the
largest wetland restoration sites in the US.  Any undergraduate
interested in biology, chemistry, or environmental science may apply.
Pending NSF funding, ten undergraduate students, including up to five
from community colleges, will be selected for this 10-week research
project on site for the summer of 2010.  The application deadline is
