Ronald McNair Scholars Program

Assisting College Sophomores and Juniors in the Pursuit of Additional Education

emblem The McNair Scholars Program is designed to provide eligible undergraduates with critical research experience, preparation for the GRE, mentoring, professional skills and assistance with the graduate school process.听 Students who are interested in pursuing a higher education toward a doctoral degree are our targeted population majoring in the STEM, Psychology, and Sociology fields of study.

Participants are eligible for the following:

Tutoring and mentoring
Academic/personal counseling
Assistance with financial aid forms
Earned internship award in听research
Approved semester research and听presentation work with faculty
Graduate schools and career听opportunity tours
Preparation and materials for the听graduate entrance examinations
Assistance finding and applying听for funding sources

Student also attend cultural activities/trips and networking events throughout the year.
