The Bioinformatics program is supported by part of the Minority Access to Research Careers program (MARC). Students accepted to the Bioinformatics concentration program can fully utilize the MARC resources, which provide Bioinformatics students with the opportunity to engage in research and computational laboratory projects.

The Department of Computer Science and听听
partnered to support and enhance our Bioinformatics activities,build and improve our faculty and student capacity on Bioinformatics,听enhance our current NSF resources, improve partnership with听UTK and ORNL, especially on Bioinformatics and High听Performance Computing.

Sponsorship

The Bioinformatics program is supported by听听affiliated with Carnegie Mellon University. PSC provides access to its supercomputing resources under the MARC grant. PSC provide faculty and students with the training opportunities that allow them to participate in various of workshops and internships.

Affiliation

The program benefits from the United State Department of Agriculture. Research activities conducted by some faculty members are affiliated with USDA.
